Wau town Mayor calls on the traders to implement directives order from the local authorities or else face charges instead.
Celestina Livio Bahara last week issued an order fixing the price of bag of Charcoal to 600ssp instead of 1200ssp. She also fix water price to 5ssp for Jeri can instead of 10ssp for Jeri can. Voice of Hope Radio reports.
Early this week, some traders say they are not able to sell their goods with the fix price because the money cannot buy anything from the market.
But Mayor Livio insists the order has to be implemented.
The mayor explains that in the coming days there will be a campaign against whoever doesn’t comply with the terms and condition of the order will face serious charges.
Celestina directed all water tanks owners to also adhere to the order and implement to avoid charges.
Mayor Livio reveals that she will also arrange for a meeting with all the traders in Wau town to discuss issue of the high prices
