The Minister of Information in Maridi State is urging the people to work hard and make the best use of land to produce more food since agriculture is the backbone.
Peter Saki observes that the state has produced enough food this season, encouraging people to work harder during this second season to continue producing enough food, Radio Anisa reports.
He confirms that the economic situation in Maridi has shown some improvement this time after the harvest.
Last year, the state did not produce enough food due to insecurity which disrupted people from cultivation.
Saki urges every South Sudanese to work for peace and avoid conflicts among themselves.
The Minister encourages everybody to support the national dialogue because it is the only way to bring peace to the country.
He claims that the security situation in Maridi is calm, except the road connecting Maridi to Amadi state which is still experiencing criminal activities.
