Bishops should renewed their commitment and work more closely with laity to implement CARITAS work, says President of CARITAS in South Sudan.
BishopErkolano Ladu Tombe notes that the absence of bishops in CARITAS activities is one of the challenges facing the performance and service delivery.
He says bishops and heads of dioceses should be involved.
Bishop Tombe also explained that laity have great role in the evangelization in the Catholic Church.
He called on lay people also to get inovolved in Caritas work to build the kingdom of God on earth.
The South Sudan Caritas’ President calls on his fellow bishops to be seriously involved and be available in the work of charity as they do also with other pastoral work in their respective locations.
The President of Caritas was speaking on Friday in Juba after attending meeting of Caritas Africa and Caritas Internationalis in Dakar-Senegal.
