Tonj County Commissioner on Tuesday says transparency and accountability is needed among traditional leaders in Tonj state.
Safferino Philip Bazia highlights that he went to Malual-MokBoma to talk with chiefs and the cattle keepers to discuss the grievances and how they could cooperate to resolve all the communal issues peacefully. Don Bosco Radio reports
Philip tells all paramount and sub-chiefs in the area to work according to the law.
He urges Payams and Boma chiefs to be transparent when dealing with local courts hearing.
Philip reiterates that border demarcation is not implemented but they are cooperating with other neighboring commissioners to resolve the matter peacefully.
The commissioner also gave 42 hours to people who did not hand over their firearms
