The Commissioner of Pageri County of Imotong State is calling on the citizens to accept reconciliation and forgiveness in the upcoming National dialogue for peace to prevail.
Emilio Igga says South Sudanese should not wait for foreign support to gain peace, Radio Emmanuel reports.
He urges South Sudanese refugees in the neighboring countries to come home and participate in the national dialogue.
Igga urges the security organs to avoid unnecessary arrest to create a conducive environment for those who want to participate in the dialogue.
He made the remarks during the opening of St Francis of Assisi church in the Catholic Diocese of Torit in Nimule over the weekend.
The occasion attracted government officials, religious leaders and thousands Christians attending the opening of the new Church.
