Civil society activists in Wau town have launched town cleaning in public places on Friday as a sign of solidarity spirit with citizens.

 
Joseph Luka, new elected head of civil society alliance in Wau said they intended to clean public places where rubbish have been dumped to help keep the environment clean, Radio Voice of Hope reports.
 
He says, they are conveying the message to the community that taking care of the town is the duty of all. He adds that the exercise will be continuing every Friday calling on all to join the initiative and keep Wau clean.
 
The chairperson thanks all the organizations that have shown up for the cleaning.
 
The cleaning execise kicked off yesterday at Youth Center and it will target all the public places including markets.
