The Ministry of Education in Wau State in collaboration with International Medical Corps or IMC launched Women and Girls Friendly Space Center in Wau town.
Anna Daniel, Director-General of Social Welfare, says the center is to help survivors of gender-based violence for counseling, Radio Voice of Hope reports.
She thanks the partners who constructed the Center and urges her fellow women to make use of the place well.
Caesar Lupai, IMC Deputy Manager for Gender-based Violence in Wau State explains that the Center was built to help women come together, share their experiences and support each other.
Lupai encourages women to gather in the center and share all their troubles.
The Center will also offer formal education programs to the women.
The official made the remarks during the launch of Women and Girls Friendly Space Center in Wau State on Wednesday.
