A number of people have been suffering from diarrhea in Debi Payam of Heiban County in Nuba Mountains particularly late August and early September, says official.
Radio Voice of Peace quoted Zachariah Omar Gamar saying poor roads made the situation more difficult to transfer sick people to health centers.
He appeals to the authorities and humanitarian organizations to provide more medicines in rural areas of the Debi Payam.
Omar calls on health practitioners to ensure availability of drugs at all health centers in rural areas for emergency cases.
He urges communities to prepare roads for easy access to the area.
Lack of cleaning of grass around residential areas and poor sanitation are serious threats to outbreak of diseases especially during the rainy seasons.
