Star Group promises to continue helping HIV/AIDS patients in Gbudue

Star Support Group with the help of Christian Brothers in the Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio promises to continue assisting HIV/AIDS victims in Gbudue State.

 

Martin Khaemba, Acting Director of the Group, says currently they are supporting people living with HIV/AIDS, orphans and offer health service to the community, Radio Anisa reports.

 

He mentions that Star support group also helps children carrying HIV/AIDs with prayers and counseling.

 

About four hundreds children are getting scholarship from Star Support Group and about 900 HIV/AIDS patients are getting their drugs from the Group, he says.

 

Star Support Group aims at strengthening the capacity of children born with HIV/AIDs, through education and care for the vulnerable people in communities, he stresses.

 

Joseph Samuel Diko, one of the beneficiaries, says they gained a lot from the Group, and hopes to be a better person after vacate the company.

 

He calls on those living with AIDs to be opened to others, go to the hospital and get their medication.
