Ministers of Gender and Social Development and Education and Commissioner of Tonj County assessed the Rehabilitation Center for street children in Tonj town.
Gender and Social Development Minister, Mabil Ater Deng says they assess the area for clearance to take place before anything is done, Radio Don Bosco reports.
He says registration will follow for the ministry and its partners to collect street children.
The Minister of Education Dominic Deng Mayom says they will hand over the building to his Gender counterpart to use it for three months.
The two ministries will reach a written agreement if the presence of the street children does not interfere with the activities of Makerdit Primary School.
The commissioner of Tonj County Severino PhilipBazia admits that the street children in Tonj came from different counties of Tonj and other neighboring states because of insecurity.
The proposed Rehabilitation Center will need water and security, he points out.
The Commissioner says they will write proposals to different non-governmental organizations in the area to support the Center.
The officials spoke to Radio Don Bosco on Wednesday in Tonj.
