The Governor of Yei River State and religious leaders discussed the process of peace, healing and reconciliation.

David Lokonga Moses believes that Churches have already taken healing, and reconciliation with different communities as process of building peace in the state, Radio Easter reports.

The Governor points out that the SPLA-IO of Yei River State resolved that the soil of greater Yei should not be used as a battle ground.

Meanwhile Bishop Erkolano Lodu Tombe of the Catholic Diocese of Yei tells the government that Church doors are opened to support realization of total peace.

There is no need to blame each other, but support from people who understand government issues well, he notes.

The Bishop adds that what Church leaders need is only harmony among South Sudanese.

The officials were speaking during a meeting on Monday in the Governor’s office in Yei.
