UNMISS Chief meets Imotong Governor on security improvement

The Head of the UN Mission in South Sudan or UNMISS has met Imotong State Governor and discussed possible ways of improving security in Torit town.
 
David Shearer told Radio Emmanuel that they are planning to bring peace in the area by creating UNMISS patrol team with the police in town.
 
The team work will save lives of citizens, he pledges.
 
Governor Tobiolo Alberio Oromo welcomes the idea of joint patrol team and that the first thing to be addressed is community roads safety.
 
Alberio notes that the joint patrol will help improve security in the town.
 
He asks the UNMISS Chief to provide food to reduce hunger because it is the major reason of crimes in town.
 
The officials spoke to media after meeting at State Secretariat in Torit on Wednesday.
