Tonj new commissioners put security top priority in counties

Three new commissioners on Tuesday celebrated their appointment at the SPLM headquarters in Tonj under the theme: ‘Peace unity and reconciliation’.
 
The commissioners include Asuna Adhien Adhieu of Thiet, Marko Madok Madhieu of Ngabagok and Marial Kuot Mangok of Palal Counties, Radio Don Bosco reports.
 
State Governor Akec Tong Aleu, who presided over the occasion, urges the new leaders to put much effort on security of civilians in various counties.
 
Commissioner of Luny-jang South, Madol Chol, vows to try to control challenges of cattle rustling in his county from the bordering Western Lakes and Gok States.
 
He requests the two state governments to facilitate peace dialogue to pave the way for harmony among people of South Sudan.
 
Ngapagok Commissioner Marko Madok says his first priority is security and peace to his people.
 
He encourages those who were contesting for the post of commissioner to cooperate with the county and state authorities in bringing services to the people.
 
The leaders gave the statements in the sideline of the celebration in the SPLM secretariat in Tonj.
