Justice is a sign of a peaceful society that needs a collective responsibility for it to be attained, priest in the Catholic Diocese of Torit, advises South Sudanese.

Father Anthony Odoemelam is calling on Christians to apply justice and equality in their daily lives, Radio Emmanuel reports.

He urges Christians to see justice in what they do and treat people uniformly as the Bible says.

Father Odoemelam encourages South Sudanese to continue fighting for justice tirelessly in a Godly way like the Canaanite woman, who resisted to Jesus to heal her daughter.

The priest declares this week, a week of prayer for everybody in Torit so as to overcome the power of Satan.

The only thing that pleases God is prayer, he preaches to the congregation.

There is need for South Sudanese to surrender their hearts and minds to God for guidance, protection, change of attitude and for forgiveness, he adds.

Father Odoemelam spoke during a homily on Sunday at Our Lady of Holy Rosary Parish in Torit.
