Communities in Yambio of Gbudue State on Friday started two-day prayer for peace and reconciliation at Yambio Freedom Square.
According to Radio Anisa, the prayer came after the inter-communal dialogue two months ago.
Wenesayo Jackson, Program Coordinator for Change Agency Association, stresses the need to hold regular prayers for peace in the state and in South Sudan.
He reveals that the Inter-faith Council for Peace is leading in prayer process targeting five different tribes in Yambio.
Jackson believes that the prayer will bring a positive impact on communities to live together as one people without tribal differences.
The Coordinator says their Association has been getting positive feedback from the state government and different communities about changes after the dialogue.
He calls on citizens of Western Equatoria region and South Sudan to embrace peace and reconciliation.
Jackson reveals that the Association is soon extending their activities to Tombura State by September.
The prayer will end on Saturday evening with cultural dances, drama, songs and football match between communities of Baiparu and Ikpiro.
