Avoid mistreating children admitted in the feeding centre, Assistant officer at Primary Health Care Centre in Tonj State advises lactating mothers.

Peter Garang Keer says mothers sell out the plump nuts or fatty nutritious food given for treating 1,665 malnourished children admitted at the Centre, Radio Don Bosco reports.

He complains that they discovered either the mothers eat or distribute the food to all children at home which medically is wrong.

Garang stresses that some children are discharged after six weeks when they become well, but others continue until they are healthy enough.

Stop buying health food especially plump nut because it is meant for treating malnourished kids, the acting nutritionist appeals to traders.

The officer urges mothers not to sell food items given to the malnourished children.

He suggests that buyers should be punished for buying food use for treating malnourished children.
