Members of the community of Tonj complain that monkeys, baboons and other wild animals are destroying their crops in the gardens, says Director of Wildlife Conservation in the State.

AtiikThiep says they applied to the state governor to approve two bullets to be shot by Wildlife officers for scaring the animals in people’s gardens, Radio Don Bosco reports.

Thiep says the date is not fixed to shoot the wild animals that destroy crops, but will depend on the time they will be found in action.

He advises that people should not panic when they hear gunshots because it was approved by the state government.
