The Regional Protection Force is not coming to invade the country, says the South Sudan Civil Society Alliance chairperson.

Akuoch Ajang Nyanhom says the forces are coming to protect the civilians and government installations based on their mandate.

The Alliance chairperson believes it is not the number of troops that can bring peace to South Sudan, but forgiveness, reconciliation and living together as South Sudanese themselves.

Deputy Chairperson, Shiekh Vitale Aligo Samson calls on the warring parties to dialogue to move forward.

Late last week, South Sudan’s government has express discomfort with the deployment of Regional Protection Forces around Juba airport.
