Two landlords in Isohe Payam, Ikwoto County of Imotong State are conflicting over ownership of AKIL Center plot used by the Catholic Diocese of Torit for agricultural activities.

Both claim, the land belong to either of their grandfathers.

The issue came when Caritas Torit and the community of Isohe in Ibunyak Boma on August 13 sat to agree on the memorandum of understanding for the charity to start agricultural activities in the area.

Lazarus Lolup, one of the lords who claims the land, says the territory belongs to his grandfather and he has full right over it.

Longetek Stephen, another lord who says the land belongs to his father, claims that the family gave the land to Lolup because they were in-laws.

Clement Odongi, Paramount Chief of Ikwoto County Imotong State, says the court in the past two years ruled the case in favour of Longetek Stephen, son of Severino Opwanya.

Lovitok Martine, a community member who witnessed the court ruling confirms, the land located for AKIL Center belongs to Longetek Stephen.

The two landlords arguments came during the tabling of memorandum of understating between Isohe community and Caritas Torit in Isohe on August 13.
