The Emeritus Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Torit is visiting South Sudanese refugee camps in Northern Uganda to preach peace and spread the gospel.
Bishop Paride Taban tour followed an invitation by Moyo Parish Catholic Diocese of Arua in Uganda to celebrate the 100 years of faith, Radio Emmanuel reports.
Speaking to Radio Emmanuel in a telephone interview, the Bishop says his visit is to comfort refugees and give them hope for peace in the country.
Bishop Taban tells South Sudanese refugees in Uganda to talk to their brothers and sisters at home to stop fighting and forgive one another.
The Catholic prelate says there is need for South Sudanese to embrace love and unity for peace to prevail in the country.
The Emeritus Bishop during his pastoral service visited two camps: Morobi and Palorinya in Moyo District on Friday.
