Sacred Heart parishioners bid farewell to Fr Kariuki in Tonj

Parishioners of Sacred Heart Parish Tonj under the Diocese of Rumbek on Sunday made farewell celebration to Fr Peter Kariuki Mogae of the Salesians of Don Bosco.
 
The outgoing father served as Assistant Parish Priest for four years in Tonj, Radio Don Bosco reports.
 
Parish Priest Paul Antimi appreciates Fr Kariuki for all his good deeds in the mission in the past years.
 
He appeals to the outgoing priest to remember Tonj people and that Christians of Sacred Heart will pray for him to continue doing good things everywhere he goes.
 
Deputy Governor of Tonj State Manhiem Bol Malek mentions that 99 percent of the faithful and government officials are crying because Fr Kariuki is leaving them.
 
He acknowledges that the presence of the outgoing priests made a lot of achievements to people of Tonj.
 
Manhiem thanks the leaving priest and assures him of the prayers of the people of Tonj.
 
Fr Kariuki says going away is not his choice, but an obedient in the way of Christianity and promises not to forget the people of Tonj in his prayers.
 
He advises the people to build their faith on Christ to be saved because Jesus is the centre of life.
