The President of International Committee of the Red Cross or ICRC arrived in Juba on Thursday to assess humanitarian situation, says Communication Coordinator.
Robin Waudo tells CRN that Peter Maurer who came from Geneva, Switzerland will meet with top government officials to talk about access of aid workers to IDPs.
The Coordinator explains that ICRC leader will visit some areas in the former Jonglei State to meet with IDPs and witness food distribution.
He will also visit Old Pangak to meet wounded people and ICRC staff, the Coordinator adds.
Waudo discloses that the president will visit Wau to acquaint himself with the situation of Wau Teaching Hospital and the work of ICRC especially provision of water to IDPs.
The ICRC President will visit Uganda to meet some South Sudanese refugees and hear challenges they face in camps, he adds.
