Border conflict continues in Wau says Commissioner

Fighting is still ongoing at the borders among the clans of the three states Commissioner of Marial Bai confirms.
 
Mel Aleu Goch said that a number of communities burned nearly 17 houses into ashes at Leth area over the weekend, Radio Voice of Hope reports.
 
Those whose houses were burned scattered in different residential areas in Wau town, he adds.
 
Aleu reveals that security situation is calm in some areas in Manyang after the deployment of the Joint Forces in the area.
 
The road between Wau and Lonyaker which was closed down now is opened officially without any difficulties according to authorities’ recommendations, he stresses.
 
The Commissioner says deployment of the forces at the borders will help to avoid further attacks on the civilians living in the area.
 
Commissioner Mel Aleu asked the communities to stop attacking civilians and encourages peace process civilians should practice their daily life freely.
 
He urged the local communities to remain calm and avoid hatred and discrimination.
