South Sudanese in Tonj state on Monday joined the country to celebrate the martyrs’ day in remembrance of all heroes and heroines who fought for the freedom of South Sudan.
Biar Biar Mawien, Acting Secretary of SPLM, describes the day as a time of calling Almighty God to bless the souls of the fallen brothers and sisters during the liberation struggle, Radio Don Bosco reports.
The day was declared since 2008 to everyone in South Sudan as a public hold day, Biar explains.
He appreciates the SPLM members and supporters who gathered to celebrate the day.
The acting secretary was speaking to Radio Don Bosco on Monday in Tonj.
