The United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Peacekeeping Operations arrives in Juba on Tuesday morning.
Jean-Pierre Lacroix says he will discuss with President Salva Kiir and other top government officials to assess the security situation in the country.
He adds that review the political process and how they can help to improve the process ahead.
The Under-Secretary-General for Peacekeeping Operations in his three-day visit will meet humanitarian actors and internally displaced people in UN camps.
