A Catholic Religious Sister in the Diocese of Tombura-Yambio is urging parents to allow their children to enroll for the vocation of Religious Sisters.
Radio Anisa quoted Sister Antonietta Bakosoro, Mother Superior General of the Missionary Sisters of the Blessed Virgin Mary says the presence of Sisters in the community is a blessing.
They are like mothers because they preach and pray with Christians when there is no priest, she adds.
She appeals to parents to support girls who are interested to join the Congregation to answer the call of God.
Sister Bakosoro reiterates that people have different calls to vocation by God and all contributes to the development the country.
She adds that they need many girls to join their Congregation so that they can work with them in all parts of the Diocese
She reveals that Religious Sisters can contributes to many developmental activities in the country like opening schools, hospitals, and many other things that sisters do in collaboration with the government.
We educate girls and women on family life, how they can live and take care of their relatives, she adds.
The Mother Superior appeals to South Sudanese to work for peace forgiveness and to pray for blessing and transformation of the country.
