Women’s Aid Vision or WAV has on Wednesday ended the training of women and youth peace committee of Rumbek Centre and Wulu on sustainable conflict management in Rumbek.
Akecam Mamer Thok-gor, WAV project officer, says the training was to enhance the participants’ skills to effectively contribute to conflict management in peace building, Radio Good News reports.
This training will equip the committee with knowledge about conflict and technique on how to manage it, he adds.
Ms Mamer adds that the impact of the course will help the trainees how to train more people to manage conflict in communities.
Napisa Gordon Yalo, a member of peace committee in Wulu County, urges elders to advise their sons in order to avoid road ambushes and looting along highways.
