Health Net Organization has started training mothers who deliver at homes on prevention of bleeding at birth.
Nyanjur Ibrahim Bilal, Community Development Officer, says the workshop is to train health and community promoters to reduce death of mothers during delivery, Radio Voice of Hope reports.
She adds that they want to train health workers in communities to save lives of mothers.
The officer calls on participants to teach pregnant mothers and their families in their various communities how they should use drugs.
Nyanjur says after the training, they will help health promoters to distribute drugs to pregnant mothers far from health centres in rural areas to save them during birth.
The speaker encourages expectant mothers to deliver at the health centres.
