A number of nursery school learners in Imotong State are at a risk of malnutrition, says Christ Early Childhood Development Advocacy Group or CECDAG Program Coordinator.
Pius Lokoro says malnutrition cases among young learners in Torit town are on the rise after screening on Wednesday, Radio Emmanuel reports.
The coordinator says his organization is carrying out screening to lobby for a better feeding program for nursery schools.
He describes young learners as foundation of any nation who should have healthy mind and bodies.
Mangul Jackline Peter, a teacher at Dumak Nursery School, urges education partners to provide food for young learners.
Jackline says absence of meals discourages a number of learners from coming to school.
