Since January over six thousand IDPs sheltering at Riimenze Catholic Parish compound in Yambio are in dire need of food, medical assistance and clothes, he notes.
Alexer Queena expresses her concerns about the education in of IDPs’ children in South Sudan.
She says her visit to Tombura-Yambio Catholic Diocese is to evaluate all programs funded through their Humanitarian Response Department to vulnerable people.
Queena add that another reason is to identify the need of the diocese and how to support its education program.
She encouraged the people of South Sudan to send children to school because education is the only thing that can fight poverty in the country.
A team of Sudan Relief Fund, one of the Catholic Church Organizations visited the Tombura-Yambio to assess the programs it supports in the Diocese.
The team also wants to know the situation of the IDPs in the Diocese who escaped the war.
