The Ceasefire Transitional Security Arrangement and Monitoring Mechanism or CTSAMM tells the warring parties to respect the ceasefire for people to move freely.

Major General Molla Hailemariam explains that the government and the armed opposition groups continue to violate the agreement on the cessation of hostilities.

The security and the humanitarian situations are worsening in many parts of the country, he reports.

Hailemariam discloses that the Mechanism is planning to monitor ceasefire, continue reporting violations and carry on investigation of breaches.

The Mechanism will continue updating JMEC on security situations and coordinate with the regional institutes, the chairperson adds.

He praises the support of the national government to their Monitoring and Verification team on the ground.

The official was briefing the media in Juba on Thursday.
