Hunger has forced thousands of citizens to flee the country seeking food and education for their children, admits Imotong State Governor.
Tobiolo Alberio Oromo says lack of rain and agricultural production compelled people to seek refuge, Radio Emmanuel reports.
The most affected areas are eastern parts of Imotong State, he adds.
Governor Alberio explains that the food the humanitarian aid organizations provided is not enough to reach various populations.
He observes that the side effect of hunger leads to high robbery and looting along highways.
If people work as a team, South Sudan will gain total peace than any other country in the world, he adds.
The Governor says South Sudan has entered a history that its citizens will never forget.
He appeals to humanitarian organizations to support people of Imotong State.
