It is more essential to provide education and other basic requirements to young prisoners, says Wau Prison Director.

General Caesar Tombe, told Radio Voice of Hope that it is possible to transform young offenders if they are given chance to learn.

Male and female juveniles need education through collective efforts of the government and other partners, he notes.

The Director emphasizes that the issue of keeping both male and female together has been a serious concern.

He applauds UNDP and the state government for separating male and female young inmates.

General Tombe appeals to the government and well wishers to support prison with water, light, furniture and fence.
