The citizens in Deim Zubeir are suffering critically due to lack of humanitarian assistance from NGOs.

Fr John Vonjo, Acting Coordinator for IDPs in the Catholic Diocese of Wau, says the condition of IDPs who fled from Raja after the fighting is worse, Radio Voice of Hope reports.

He explains that there are 2,850 households and some IDPs are dying from hunger and heat.

Fr Vonjo says there is no assistance from NGOs to the IDPs despite the recent visit of the International Committee of the Red Cross to the area.

He appeals to all NGOs to respond with humanitarian assistance to save the situation in Deim Zubeir.
