Governor asks armed oppositions to report to assembling points

Imotong State Governor is asking the arm groups and oppositions to report to the assembling points before being taken to the cantonment areas according to the provision of the peace agreement.
 
Tobiolo Alberio Oromo says the government is ready to welcome anybody who has been aggrieved so as to work together for peace in the country, Radio Emmanuel reports.
 
He reveals some groups have been reintegrated in Ikwoto County.
 
Governor Alberio expresses the need for the opposition to be at the cantonment bases to ease reintegration process.
 
He reiterates the government commitment for peace in the state.
 
The governor assures opposition of government’s readiness to act according to their needs to bring war to an end.
 
He promises to appoint some members of opposition to his cabinet.
 
SPLM/A-IO representative in Imotong State Lieutenant Colonel Mubarak Rueben Emmy was appointed early this month as minister for Humanitarian Affairs.
 
Governor Alberio says the appointment in the state government is to fulfill the peace agreement since the I-O is given 15 percent in each state
 
He says the government is looking forward to other political parties as stipulated in the 2015 agreement.
 
The governor was talking to journalists in Torit over the weekend.
