The Egyptian government on Thursday donated 480 boxes of food items to Juba Teaching Hospital, Al Sabbah Children Hospital and Juba Central Prison.

Radio Bakhita quoted Mahmud Ahmed, Egyptian Acting Ambassador to South Sudan, saying his government will continue to support the young country.

He says the help that they are offering is from the people of Egypt to the suffering counterparts of South Sudan.

James Jada, Minister of Health in Jubek State, appreciates the Egyptian government for its support to South Sudan.

The donation is a symbol of cordial relations between Egypt and South Sudan, says First Lieutenant Henry Kwach, Director-General of Juba Central Prison.

The prisoners will feel good because they are not forgotten and the help should continue coming to the prison, he adds.

National ministers of Health and Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management and other government officials attended handing over of the food items and medicines to the hospitals and the prison.
