Peacemaking declared by the national government should be fair and includes everybody, says Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Yei.
Bishop Erkolano Lodu Tombe stresses that the peacemaking process should be opened to all who have grievances against the government, Radio Easter reports.
He urges the government to be ready to listen to all worries of citizens in South Sudan.
Bishop Lodu says if peace is declared, the church should not be pushed to do it because it has its own way of building tranquility.
He adds that certain ways of political peacemaking will not work with the church.
The Bishop made the remarks in a meeting with Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General David Shearer on Thursday in Yei.
