Minister threatens to fire teachers absenting from duties

The Minister of Education in Wau threatens to suspend and dismiss staff and teachers absenting from their duties.
 
Rukeya Madut Abdallah attributes low education in the state to big a number of teachers not present at their schools, Radio Voice of Hope reports.
 
She orders all teachers who are absent from duty to report to their places of their work, otherwise they will be suspended.
 
The ministry has a plan to appoint new teachers to extent education to Payams, the minister discloses.
 
She adds that there is a plan to promote committed teachers who are working regularly.
 
The minister warns teachers against attempting to receive salaries of absent colleagues.
 
She adds that head teachers will supervise payment of March salaries that is underway.
 
Minister Rukeya reveals that they formed a special committee to monitor the process of receiving salaries in schools to avoid corruption.
