Basic journalism and human rights training for thirty journalists from different media houses in Western Lakes State concluded in Rumbek.
The training initiated by Greater Lakes States journalists’ Association was supported by VISTAS, Radio Good News reports.
David De Dau, Executive Director of Action for Intervention and Management, says the course focuses on ethics, hate speech, negative and positive aspects of social media.
He appeals to the state authorities to pardon journalists who had problems with the government.
Madong Muorwel, Western Lakes Minister of Information, urges journalists to avoid reporting on issues that incite violent and hate speech in the state.
