Mutukeli factory gains high market in Yei River

Mutukeli or nyila, local sandals’ factory in Yei River County is helping many people in the town since many cannot now afford to buy the imported sandals in markets.
 
Mutukeli in Yei town become the most affordable sandals that over 90 percent of the population both men and women are putting on Radio Easter reports.
 
Joel Sanya a buyer believes that the local sandals are helping people as the others are no more coming from Uganda to Yei.
 
He encourages the mutukeli producers to continue making more for the community because they reduce expenditure of buying imported sandals.
 
Another user of Mutukeli, who refused to be named, says she is buying the local sandals because they are long lasting.
 
She attributes the scarcity of imported sandals to poor link between Yei-Uganda and Uganda-Juba.
 
Michael Bakky, a local sandal maker, cautions citizens against abusing Mutukeli producers because they are helping the community during this difficult situation.
 
He advises the idol youth to be creative for self employment in South Sudan to stop stealing and robbing people things.
 
He warns the youths that an idle mind is the devil workshop.
