Sudan and Uganda to appoint representatives for national dialogue

Governments of Sudan and Uganda say they are planning to appoint representatives to join the Steering Committee of the National Dialogue.
 
A member of the Committee, Alfred Taban says they have met Ambassadors from both countries to join the committee.
 
He says the governments of the two countries are arranging to appoint their representative in the initiative.
 
Taban adds that the committee is planning to engage representatives from Kenya and Ethiopia also.
 
Ethiopian Ambassador to South Sudan Fisaha Shaul confirms that they have received a letter from South Sudan government to join the initiative.
 
He says consultations are ongoing for the appointment of the representative.
 
Other countries that have already joined the committee include Burundi, Democratic Republic Congo and South Africa.
 
Last week, the Committee has formed 15 subcommittees to start consultation process.
 
The subcommittee will lead conferences at different levels across the country.
