The Deputy Mayor of Mundri Municipality says the security situation is relatively calm in the area.

Hassan Bakhit Awari told Anisa Radio that in the town, people are carrying on with their normal activities.

He adds that only roads that are leading to Payams like Bangolo are not accessible.

The Deputy Mayor cites high prices of commodities in markets due to poor roads that connect Mundari to Juba and the rainy season as major challenges.

Bakhit hopes that after two to three months prices of goods will drop because people are about to harvest their crops.

Mundri Deputy Mayor says the economic crisis in the country has affected some of their developmental programs.
