Minister confirms detection of cholera case in Tonj Hospital

The Minister of Health in Tonj confirms that one cholera case has been detected at the State Civil Hospital.
 
Lual Longar Adhal says one person who came from Aweil last week was diagnosed to have cholera after showing the signs and symptoms, Radio Don Bosco reports.
 
The minister advises the general public to clear their surroundings and keep water and food items clean to contain the disease because it spreads very fast.
 
SPLA Lieutenant Colonel Marko Akec discloses that he spent seven days in Gogrial and two days in Wau before proceeding to Tonj.
 
He explains that he realized having watery diarrhea and vomiting at night before getting into critical situation in the following day.
 
Lieutenant Colonel Akec urges people to visit health facilities whenever they experienced constant watery diarrhea and vomiting.
 
The patient spoke to Radio Don Bosco in Tonj Civil Hospital bed on Wednesday.
