Women Group in Nzara Parish of the Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio is calling on the population of Western Equatoria and South Sudan to work as agents of peace at all levels.

Lydia Paul, Chairlady of the Group says citizens should learn how to make peace and show examples to children and youth to maintain tranquility in the future, radio Anisa reports.

She calls on females to join women groups in order to build their capacities in various fields.

Lydia outlines some challenges facing the group like lack of funding to carry out their planned activities to reach target beneficiaries.

She calls on partners to support some of their activities to empower women and the community of Nzara County and other parts of the country.

Esterina Domiano, a member of the Group, says she worked for 15 years with Nzara Women Group which improved her life and enabled her to pay six children in school.

They promise to preach lasting peace in the country.
