Ministry of Health in collaboration with Commitato Collaberazione Medica or CCM, an Italian medical organization, on Monday started training nurses and midwives on integrated management of child and neonatal illnesses.
Facilitator, Nyok Bol Nyokm, says the workshop targets 26 participants from different health centres operating in Tonj State, Radio Don Bosco reports.
The training is to teach health officials how to treat children in their respective centres and units, he adds.
Dr Bol notes that the eight-day training is expected to teach the officials how to address complaints of patients and diagnosis them.
The facilitator was speaking to Radio Don Bosco in Tonj at the sideline of the workshop.
