At least 100 female SPLA/M in opposition have declared their allegiance to the government in Gbudue State.

Lieutenant Colonel Leila Benjamin Alhaj, head of the Female Unit in the defected IO, explains she went to the bush because of some imbalances in positions, Radio Bakhita reports.

She says they decided to return and join the government after the call of the president.

Leila calls upon the rest of her colleagues to come for dialogue because war does not resolve problems.

The commander of the Unit, Brigadier Paul Romano stresses that the only challenge facing the returnees is lack of trust from the community.

Daniel Badagbu Rimbasa, Governor of Gbudue, says he is engaging in talks with forces in the bush through the inter-faith committee.

He discloses that the state is training those who chose peace and return home on trauma healing.

More than two thousand returnees from the bush are currently waiting for the central government to integrate them into SPLA.
