The Ceasefire and Transitional Security Arrangement Monitoring Mechanism is in Yei to assess the agreement on the cessation of hostilities by the government and the armed opposition.
The agreement emphasizes on the enactment of policies, humanitarian access and protection of civilians’ rights and property among others, says Dan Lizzuli, Deputy Team leader CTSAMM.
He says CTSAMM hopes to visit the opposition about the ceasefire.
Dan says the mandate of the CTSAMM is to oversee and report on the compliance to the cessation of hostility and the 2015 agreement of the resolution of conflicts in South Sudan.
The CTSAMM team leader was speaking in the governor’s office on Friday in Yei.
