The Governor of Yei River State believes South Sudan’s war is a punishment from God, for turning away from Him after attaining independence.
David Lokonga Moses says the citizens are doing earthly things, Radio Easter reports.
He describes going back to war as ‘unfortunate’.
Governor Lokonga appreciates the Church for always talking without fear and telling the truth to set South Sudan free.
He believes without the church, there would be no single person left in Yei.
War is not good, war is killing, war is displacing of people, Governor Lokonga regrets.
He says the only solution to bring peace is to stop the war.
The governor was speaking at Christ the King Cathedral during the commemoration of the first anniversary of the late Sr Veronika Teresa Rackova.
