The Governor of Tombura says his government is prioritizing health and education as main focus for the development of the new state.
Patrick Raphael Zamoi says the health sector is a big concern because there is great need for more trained nurses and doctors to work in state hospitals, Radio Anisa reports.
Very few nurses have been running the hospital, they became old and have never acquired any training since late 1980s and 1970s, the governor discloses.
Raphael reveals that Tombura has secondary schools only and that the state has come up with a concept paper for a university.
A state university will be established to provide adequate education to citizens of Tombura and South Sudan at large, he discloses.
Source Yubu Nursing School reopened again to train nurses and midwives, the Governor observes.
He reveals that security in Tombura is relatively calm, promising that they are going to be extra-attentive to see who will interfere with the security of the state.
He expresses pleasure to all organized forces in the state for controlling insecurity in the state.
The Governor reveals that now they have three Commissioners of Ezo, Tombura and Nagero and would soon appoint commissioners to the other for counties.
