Women Parliamentarians decided to use rotational system to avoid power struggle among them, says National Women Parliamentary Caucus chairperson.

Dusman Joyce says they are amending article eleven of the Constitution so that women do not fight for positions, but their leadership will go from one region to another.

She was speaking during three-day workshop CEPO organized on constitutional amendment and designing of strategic directions in Juba.

Betty Sunday, CEPO Chief Executive Officer says the seminar is to build functional constitution so that the caucus can extend to the states.

She cites logistics and lack of finance as major challenges hindering women from reaching their fellow female in rural areas.

Jennifer Eliabo, one of the participants, says they are collaborating with women at the grass roots to find out important issues.

The constitution will soon be submitted to Women Parliamentary Caucus’ general assembly for endorsement.

There are currently 105 women in the National Transitional Legislative Assembly.
